Word High July: Hiraya and Pagsamo

via areadingwritr

*Sighs* I didn’t forget about Word High. It’s just that lately, I’ve been so tired that I didn’t want to overuse what little energy I saved. I wrote words to the prompts, but I was not in any shape to look for templates and type into it. I’m still tired, so once again, I may not be as active as I would like to be, so I may take a few months off if it comes to that.

Anyway, here’s what I came up with for the mentionable in the title.

Hiraya: vision, illusion; figuratively means the fruit of one’s hopes and dreams.

Pagsamo: plea, appeal, a fervent prayer

As for this prompt, I was editing a poem I wrote in June when I decided to share an excerpt, and it fitted perfectly! Unfortunately, the piece is still untitled. I wrote it to show that God is not a last resort and that we should go to Him immediately even in all of our filthiness. We shouldn’t attempt to fix things, as it’ll only get worse. I’ll share the poem in its entirety one day. For now, a little peek:

VERSE OF THE MONTH (August 2021):

Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight;
yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

  1. I like how you said seeking God shouldn’t be our last resort, that even in our darkest times or filthiest we should seek him. As soon as He enters our mind. Thanks for sharing part of your lovely poem, Diana 🙂

    this, i need this today: God is not a last resort and that we should go to Him immediately even in all of our filthiness.

  3. I enjoyed reading your poem! Thank you for the reminder that we need to seek Him first and not to wait reaching out to Him until it’s in a desperate situation.
    Hope you are taking time to rest. I know what you mean about having little energy…It’s my daily struggle. My stamina is low, but thank the Lord He gives me enough for the day and if I’m really low, times of rest. Praying God will replenish you with energy!

      1. I have to pace my energy too…it vacillates on a daily basis. Hope your blogging schedule becomes manageable and satisfying for you!
        Take care and happy end of August. Unbelievable about this time thing that passes so quickly.

  4. I love the enquiry you bring for who is the real me with that question of Illusion. I also enjoyed your poem, it felt like a sweet surrender.

    Wishing you lots of ease and joy, restful times that give you energy for all you want to choose!
