A look back at blogging in 2021 and… goodbye?

Salut ร  tous!

*sighs* I did not want to write this post, but it’ll be unfair to not give an update for my ghosting lately.ย

I was looking over the total post count for my old blog recently. Turns out, I managed to publish 2,491 posts. It may not be a lot to show for 5 years, but for me, it represented what I set out to accomplish when it came to blogging. With this blog, things have been slow from the get-go. I only managed to write 49 posts for the year, which for me, is, but a bit of a failure, as I would’ve liked to have published at least 80 posts by this time, 100 by year-end, but it was not to be.

The goals I laid out at the beginning of the year for the blog was not achieved. I tried to crank out those posts, but I did not have it in me to do so. I still don’t, as other projects has captivated my attention. Looking back at 2021, it was impossible to realize those goals, as too many things kept coming up that were totally not blog related. I should’ve stepped back since April or so, but I wanted to push forward. I’ve come to realize that I was forcing what I couldn’t hold onto.ย

With that in mind, I’ve decided to take a break from this blog until further notice. I do have a few posts scheduled, but hopefully, I’ll be working on new content behind the scenes. I do have some long-overdue comments to reply to, so I hope to get to those soon, as I’ll be working on building the Bible study blog, and a Trinidad related blog that is dying for content. I’ll also be using this time to work on my Italian, writing, and simply organizing all areas of my life.

Thank you always for your support; I utmost appreciate it! Hopefully, I’ll be back with a vengeance at some point, but for now, it’s time to say goodbye.ย

Until then, may God continue to bless, keep, and guide you.ย

A presto!

So, Jeremiah did something today…

Jeremiah is such a delight! His little antics are the cure for a bad day. Just recently, my sister purchased our monthly supply of groceries, and Jeremiah was excited to see what delicious treat she bought for him this time. Every time he sees the green shopping bags, he gets excited and tends to attempt to peek inside them to find a treat.

When my sister returned home, she sat down to have a snack. A muffin, to be precise. After having her snack, she placed the wrapper on a surface to dispose of, but it fluttered to the floor unawares. However, before anyone can retrieve it and dispose of it, Jeremiah picked it up (in his mouth of course) and ran towards the trash, disposing of it himself. It happened so fast that if I was not present to witness it myself, I would’ve thought my family was pranking me.

I love that cat so much! Enough of Jeremiah, though, for it’s time for a blog update.

Salut ร  tous!

How’s everyone keeping lately? I pray fine.

On this end, I’ve been wrapped up in certain personal projects, that when it comes to the blog, I feel as if I’ve been neglecting it. At the beginning of the year, I was excited to take this blog to another level, but life got in the way. Although I do come on from time to time, I miss reading your blogs routinely. It’s not that I don’t want to read your blogs, it’s just that of late, I can only read 2-5 depending on how much time I have, which is not a lot, unfortunately, so I tend to read the first few blogs that pop up in the reader.

However, I’m working on returning to a regular routine when it comes to reading and also posting. Sadly, the topics I mentioned at the beginning of the year won’t be published until I find the time to actually sit down and get them done. I’ve been writing a lot of short stories and poems lately for no reason, so maybe I’ll share something if/when the time is right.ย

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, read and leave comments. I appreciate this a lot. Hope to be a regular visitor to your blogs soon!

A presto!

I’ll be back soon.

Salut ร  tous!

I want to start off by apologizing for my absence across the community. I hadn’t meant to stay away for so long, but I needed to take a break… unplanned and all. I was excited to relaunch this blog, and I was super excited about the material I was working on, but life caught up in every way, so I had no choice but to step back for a bit.

I still won’t be fully active for a while, although I do have a few posts already scheduled and ready to go at some point. Most likely, I’ll be back full-time by April (hopefully, earlier be it God’s willing). In the coming days, I’ll try to log in and catch up with your blogs. Until then, may the peace of God be with you.
