A fresh start?

Sawadee ka! It’s good to be back on… even if it’s for a little while.

Now, let me see if I can recall how this works…

Hello, everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, so I’m trying to find back the rhythm and balance. This is just a little update regarding the future of the blog.

I won’t be on as much as before; I’ll be blogging less. I won’t make any blogging promises, because, from experience, they tend to go south. However, in the weeks ahead, God’s willing, I’ll attempt to sort out categories, topics, and designs for this new phase. I drafted so many new ideas, but due to timing, I won’t be going ahead with many of them.

Lately, I’ve been reading through my TBR, but I may not do book reviews as before. I’m also watching Thai dramas, so most likely, I’ll do reviews on a few… especially the upcoming ones with Jumpol Adulkittiporn. If his name is too hard to say, simply call him Off… or Tumcial if you dare. 😃 He’s the vibe, he’s the mood, he’s the moment. Whenever he’s onscreen, everything else is just background noise.

And that’s basically it, as I just wanted to get a feel for blogging once again. I’ll talk about my newfound Thai love in a near-future post.

I trust that all’s well with everyone, and I hope to get back to reading your blogs soon. Take care!

Thank you! 💙

Salut à tous!

2021 has officially come to a close. It’s been a tough year for blogging, as I had to readjust to make way for new projects and other engagements in my life, but I always tend to find my way back here. I’m not 88.9% sure of what my next step is, but I do know I want to thank you, the reader, for setting sail on this journey with me.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read my posts, and to leave comments. Thank you for checking in and for your words of encouragement. I really appreciate your time, patience, understanding, and even advice. I’ve been blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community, and it wouldn’t have been so without you, so a huge THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

May the tears we cry in 2021, water those flowers to bloom in 2022. May the happiness we sow in 2021, reap joy in 2022. And may the peace of God set your heart aright.

Goodbye 2021, hello 2022, and all the best to all of you.

Listen to 1001 songs? Read 1001 books? Challenge accepted?

Salut à tous!

Of late, I’ve been reading through my TBR, as I’ll love to replace the old with the new. And it looks as if I’ll be doing so soon… if I actually get around to it. I recently read/browse 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die by Peter Boxall and 1001 Songs You Must Hear Before You Die by Robert Dimery. I also read/browse through 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die by Steven Joy Schneider, but I’m still on the fence about that one.

I find myself keep coming back to these two books in particular, so after some deliberation, I decided to give this bulk of a challenge a go. Yes, it’s EXACTLY what you’re thinking.

Mission accepted!

It’ll probably take 5-10 years for me to get through all those songs and books if I ever complete the task, but I’ll like to give it a try. Perhaps, I’ll create two personal blogs to document my experience as I take on this mission, for this blog won’t be able to contain the weight of this project.

I’ll probably be gray when it’s all over, but I’ll love to attempt it to see how many books I can read and how many songs I can actually listen to from the lists. And as for this blog? Well, we’ll see in the near future.

A look back at blogging in 2021 and… goodbye?

Salut à tous!

*sighs* I did not want to write this post, but it’ll be unfair to not give an update for my ghosting lately.

I was looking over the total post count for my old blog recently. Turns out, I managed to publish 2,491 posts. It may not be a lot to show for 5 years, but for me, it represented what I set out to accomplish when it came to blogging. With this blog, things have been slow from the get-go. I only managed to write 49 posts for the year, which for me, is, but a bit of a failure, as I would’ve liked to have published at least 80 posts by this time, 100 by year-end, but it was not to be.

The goals I laid out at the beginning of the year for the blog was not achieved. I tried to crank out those posts, but I did not have it in me to do so. I still don’t, as other projects has captivated my attention. Looking back at 2021, it was impossible to realize those goals, as too many things kept coming up that were totally not blog related. I should’ve stepped back since April or so, but I wanted to push forward. I’ve come to realize that I was forcing what I couldn’t hold onto.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to take a break from this blog until further notice. I do have a few posts scheduled, but hopefully, I’ll be working on new content behind the scenes. I do have some long-overdue comments to reply to, so I hope to get to those soon, as I’ll be working on building the Bible study blog, and a Trinidad related blog that is dying for content. I’ll also be using this time to work on my Italian, writing, and simply organizing all areas of my life.

Thank you always for your support; I utmost appreciate it! Hopefully, I’ll be back with a vengeance at some point, but for now, it’s time to say goodbye.

Until then, may God continue to bless, keep, and guide you.

A presto!

Football ⚽

Welcome to PSG, Leo!

The shirt is new and may feel a bit strange, but you’ll grow into it.

Welcome to PSG. Now, go shatter records, write new ones, and create history.

So excited! This season belongs to the Ligue 1 as ALL eyes will be on Leo.

With that being said, this is going to be perhaps the last football post on this blog for the time being as I’ll be reopening the football blog I started in 2012, but closed somewhere in 2017 or so. Of late, I’ve been gravitating towards writing and talking about the beautiful game, and I can’t fill La Petite Muse with all of my football musings/rantings, so I’ll be doing the football blog for me. It’s something that I need to fulfill.

Thank you for putting up with my football musings! 💙

So, Jeremiah did something today…

Jeremiah is such a delight! His little antics are the cure for a bad day. Just recently, my sister purchased our monthly supply of groceries, and Jeremiah was excited to see what delicious treat she bought for him this time. Every time he sees the green shopping bags, he gets excited and tends to attempt to peek inside them to find a treat.

When my sister returned home, she sat down to have a snack. A muffin, to be precise. After having her snack, she placed the wrapper on a surface to dispose of, but it fluttered to the floor unawares. However, before anyone can retrieve it and dispose of it, Jeremiah picked it up (in his mouth of course) and ran towards the trash, disposing of it himself. It happened so fast that if I was not present to witness it myself, I would’ve thought my family was pranking me.

I love that cat so much! Enough of Jeremiah, though, for it’s time for a blog update.

Salut à tous!

How’s everyone keeping lately? I pray fine.

On this end, I’ve been wrapped up in certain personal projects, that when it comes to the blog, I feel as if I’ve been neglecting it. At the beginning of the year, I was excited to take this blog to another level, but life got in the way. Although I do come on from time to time, I miss reading your blogs routinely. It’s not that I don’t want to read your blogs, it’s just that of late, I can only read 2-5 depending on how much time I have, which is not a lot, unfortunately, so I tend to read the first few blogs that pop up in the reader.

However, I’m working on returning to a regular routine when it comes to reading and also posting. Sadly, the topics I mentioned at the beginning of the year won’t be published until I find the time to actually sit down and get them done. I’ve been writing a lot of short stories and poems lately for no reason, so maybe I’ll share something if/when the time is right.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, read and leave comments. I appreciate this a lot. Hope to be a regular visitor to your blogs soon!

A presto!

I’ll be back soon.

Salut à tous!

I want to start off by apologizing for my absence across the community. I hadn’t meant to stay away for so long, but I needed to take a break… unplanned and all. I was excited to relaunch this blog, and I was super excited about the material I was working on, but life caught up in every way, so I had no choice but to step back for a bit.

I still won’t be fully active for a while, although I do have a few posts already scheduled and ready to go at some point. Most likely, I’ll be back full-time by April (hopefully, earlier be it God’s willing). In the coming days, I’ll try to log in and catch up with your blogs. Until then, may the peace of God be with you.
