Bible Reflections ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ

WORSHIP.

Who or what do we invest time in worshipping instead of God? Is it social media where we attempt to find our 15 minutes of fame daily? The celebrities that are only flesh and blood like us? The books and music that demean our Creator by blaspheming His Name in every other paragraph or lyric? Is it money? Cursing? Pornography? Work?

It’s such an irony that we were created to worship God, yet, we deny His existence, and choose to worship celebrities and other devices that can’t ever promise us salvation.

God is eternal.ย Everything else is just temporal. It’s a reason why we’re warned not to love the things of this world.

VERSE OF THE MONTH (June 2021):

Love not the world,
neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him.

Scripture of the Month: Love not the world

We live in a fallen world where the majority are against God. We see how anti-Christ movies, music, and books can be. Our thoughts and desires should be set on things above and not things of a fleshy nature.

God must be first always in our lives.

Christians are in the world, but not of the world, as we are called to be set apart.

Scripture of the Month: Turn from your evil ways

Turn now from your evil ways.

God is not willing that any should perish. He is not distant as we tend to think. Return to Him and He’ll return to you.

Scripture of the Month: clothed with strange apparel

How many ways are there to get into the Kingdom of God? Two ways? Six ways? Our way?

Regardless of what popular culture tells us, there is only ONE way to get there, and that is through Jesus Christ. He is the ONLY way, and we’re to be clothed in the robe of righteousness – that is provided by Christ – when we do come to stand before God.

So, which garment do you plan on putting on today? Righteousness or strange clothing?

Scripture of the Month: “they shall be like wool”

Scarlet and crimson speak of the guilt of those whose hands were covered with blood. Yet, God promises to take those “blood guilt” sins and make them white as snow. When we should be the ones chasing after God, He’s the One doing the chasing, as He refuses to give up on us.

Sin is bad and only God can cleanse it.

The Lord is still seeking to reason with His people despite how cruel we’ve become. Heed His call and repent before it’s too late. Let Him make your sins like wool.

Scripture of the Month: “Write in a book all the words I’ve spoken to you.”

The Bible is a testimony of the faithfulness of God. It is a testimony of truth and love. It warns us of things to come and comforts us with beautiful promises.

Whenever there was a new word from God, He wanted Jeremiah to write down what He was about to give him. In doing so, Jeremiah complied a book for future reference after the Lord had spoken (past tense), thus producing a kept record of each word.

God knew exactly what He was doing when He sought willing participants to write down His words, for there is a need now more than ever for His Word. He never changes. Not then, and certainly not now.

๐Ÿ•ฏ We’re called to be lights in this dark world. ๐Ÿ•ฏ

VERSE OF THE MONTH (January 2021):

For if you remain silent at this time,
relief and deliverance for the Jews will
arise from another place,
but you and your fatherโ€™s family will perish.
And who knows but that you have come to
your royal position for such a time as this?โ€

Scripture of the Month: โ€œYou were born for such a time as thisโ€

Esther was told that she “was born for such a time as this.” And so were we. When I was younger, I used to wished that I was born in a different era, but as I grew older, I came to realize that wishing for such things came close to saying that God made a mistake, and He never does.

God has placed you on this earth, in this era, for a special reason. No matter where He has placed you, you can make a difference. You wouldn’t be here if God didn’t have a purpose for you.

We live in crucial times and some of us might be scared of how the world is shaping up, but fear not, for you were born for such a time as this.
